Nicole Fabricant is associate professor of anthropology at Towson University in Maryland. She is author of Mobilizing Bolivia’s Displaced: Indigenous Politics and the Struggle over Land (UNC Press, 2012).

Bret Gustafson teaches anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis. He is author of Bolivia in the Age of Gas (Duke, 2020) and New Languages of the State: Indigenous Resurgence and the Politics of Knowledge in Bolivia (Duke 2009).

Julianne is a writer and educator based out of Cochabamba, Bolivia. She is a recent graduate of New York University's dual master's program in Global Journalism and Latin American & Caribbean Studies. Her research and reporting interests include gender and feminist studies and extractivism in Latin America.

Kiana is a Manila-born, California-raised journalist now based in New York. She spent four years in Córdoba, Argentina as a translator/interpreter and copywriter. With backgrounds in psychology and international relations, she's dedicated to telling people-focused stories on South America's racial and ethnic minorities and queer communities.
