NACLA is a progressive independent organization dedicated to increasing understanding of Latin America and the Caribbean—and of U.S. involvement in the region—through its bimonthly magazine, NACLA Report on the Americas, its website, nacla.org, and its sponsorship of public debates and conferences. NACLA Report on the Americas is the most widely read English language publication on Latin America and is a two-time winner of the Utne Independent Press Award for Best International Coverage.

Events Intern

Assist the director and staff to plan NACLA events, including issue launch parties, fundraising campaigns, lectures, etc. Tasks include: researching and booking rental spaces, food vendors, equipment; preparing budgets; outreach to partners to promote events; coordinating list management; working at events to ensure everything goes smoothly. Strong organizational and event planning skills and an ability to multitask is required.
